With what is probably the largest selection of towbars anywhere, Rameder turns any small or sports car into true transportation wonders – whether it’s a Smart or a BMW Z4, a brand new car or a classic. With these solutions there is no need to buy another car just for transporting bulky objects twice a year or for the family camping trip. “The Netherlands in particular, even with a population of just 16 million, is still a very attractive market for us,” explains Rameder CEO Karel Bos: “And not only because Germany’s neighbour to the west has a famous passion for camping.” From a company standpoint and due to the similarity between the languages it makes sense for Rameder to also launch a portal in the Dutch language for Belgium, which is one-third the size of the Netherlands. “There will also be a section for the francophone population coming in the medium term”, explains Rameder COO Dirk Schöler.

The expansion fits in perfectly with the Rameder company history: In its founding years the company dealt with second-hand towbars originating from used cars in the Netherlands. The cars were destined for Eastern Europe and were easier to sell there without towbars at that time. The idea for Rameder met with such positive resonance that the company soon began dealing with new products. Today the company is the German market leader.
